The Air Jordan 6 Low “Metamorphosis” is dropping September 16 as a new women’s colorway. Nike says the name points to how the Air Jordan 6 has changed over time since Tinker Hatfield’s original 1991 design.

Most of the upper is done in black nubuck, with Desert Berry panels bringing in the pink iridescent look. The color shifts a bit in different lighting, and the same finish shows up on the Jumpman lace lock.

Metallic Silver hits the heel spoiler and parts of the midsole. Outside of the new colors, the shoe keeps the same Air Jordan 6 Low shape people are used to.

The Air Jordan 6 Low first came out in 2002 and has always been a less common version of the model. Jordan Brand has brought it back here and there since then, including a few women’s releases over the years.
